Configure Microsoft Outlook 97 for Mojave Mesa email

SMTP Auth and SSL

Mojave Mesa email may also be configured for SMTP Authentication and SSL encryption for outgoing email. Please note that SMTP Auth and SSL are optional and are not required to use Mojave Mesa email.

For further information and setup instructions, see the links below. NOTE: Please configure SMTP Auth or SSL after first configuring your email program for your Mojave Mesa email.

    1. Open Outlook 97. Click the Tools menu and select Services.

    2. Click the Internet Mail service and click Properties. If Internet Mail is not installed, click Add and add the service.

    3. The top field will be the name of the mail account, make this Mojave Mesa . Type your name into the Name: field and your Mojave Mesa email address into the E-mail Address: field.

    4. Type in mail. Mojave Mesa .net for the Outgoing mail: and Incoming mail: fields. Type your email username or Mojave Mesa email address in the format of username@ Mojave Mesa .net into the Account Name: field and your password into the Password: field. Do NOT check Logon using Secure Password Authentication.

    5. Select I use a modem to access my email and be sure Mojave Mesa is the selected dial-up.

Include the name and version of your operating system and the exact text of all error messages. If this information is included in an online case submission or provided to a support representative, it will greatly speed up the troubleshooting process.

    Please be aware that some troubleshooting may require uninstallation and reinstallation of operating system files. To ensure that this type of troubleshooting can be accomplished if required, please be sure that you have to have original Operating System CD or Operating system source files on disk on hand.
